It was a slow start for some this morning! Our Year 6 girls had to be woken for breakfast! After breakfast the groups either did field archery or the assault course then we all headed back to the lake for raft building. The great knotting skills of some of our cubs/scouts were really useful and both teams rafts were successful! No rafts sank or fell apart. After lunch everyone took part in Operation Phonix. The two teams competed on a team building games and puzzles around the centre - it was all about the team! After tea we all had a work out getting into wet suits to get ready to go gorge walking. Everyone had an absolutely amazing time, we have never seen so many smiles, laughter and support for one another. Arrived back at the centre at 9pm for everyone to have a shower and get ready for bed. We really didn't think anything could have been better than yesterday but Gorge Walking has definitely been the highlight of the day.
We've been so impressed with every single child, they have all put their heart into everything and many have tried things they have never tried before even if they were feeling nervous.
We cannot put into words how proud we are of everyone.
We are kept busy from 8am to 9pm, we really couldn't cram any more into each day!
