Class 4 Science
As part of their science topic on Space Class 4 worked in two teams
to try to model our solar system.
We used a range of fruit to represent the planets and toilet roll to
measure the distances between the planets.
Our solar system is so huge it is difficult to comprehend but this activity really brought it to life and helped put it into some kind of perspective!
The children worked in small groups to solve puzzles
relying on their mathematical knowledge to help them succeed.
We were also treated to a PE lesson on the astroturf.
A good day was had by all!
Class 4 have had an exciting start to their PE this half term, enjoying Orienteering with Emma from the Sports Partnership. In the first week, we got to grips with map reading and punching our papers with the special Orienteering stampers. It was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to getting outside next week into our school grounds!
