We celebrated our Harvest Festival a little different this year...
by Zoom in our 'Bubbles'.
Everyone took part and we were joined ( on Zoom) by Ruth, Heather ( Reverend Stephen's wife) and Reverend Alun.
Class 1 sang a lovely harvest song to the tune of the 'wheels on the bus.' They had filmed this outside in the willow area and included a verse about the leaves on the trees tumbling down. It was very special and lovely to see so many new faces.
Class 2 said a prayer they had composed giving thanks to Farmers, Shop Keepers and God. the prayer was accompanied by some stunning artwork the children had painted, tractors, crops, shopping trolleys to name just a few.
Class 3 recited an ACROSTIC Poem featuring the word Harvest. This was lovely and the children had been very imaginative in putting this together. This was accompanied by some super artwork.
Class 4 shared a class prayer they had written which included thanks for 'warm, delicious bread, hard working farmers and delicious chocolate!'
As we are now allowed to sing very quietly in our individual bubbles it was lovely to be able to share two songs...
Autumn Leaves and Harvest Samba.
Reverend Alun (no Gary today)
said a Blessing to bring our Harvest Festival to an end.
Thank you to everyone for your donations of food
which will be passed on to the
Upper Eden Food Bank.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
