Swimming 2023
100% of our Year 6 children achieved the expected Key Stage 2 standard in swimming.
Swimming 2022
80% of our Year 6 children achieved the expected Key Stage 2 standard in swimming. This cohort of children had missed two years of school swimming due to the Covid Pandemic.
Swimming 2021
Due to the Covid pandemic we were unable to take our children swimming this year. We had planned to take them to the local outdoor pool at Shap during the Summer term but this had to be cancelled.
Swimming 2020
100% of Children in Year 6 who were at Orton CE School during Year 5 met the expected National Curriculum standards for being able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25m using a range of strokes. The self-rescue part of the National Curriculum was planned as a life-saving series of lessons for Year 6 in Summer 2020 which was cancelled due to Covid-19.

100% of our Year 6 children achieved the expected Key Stage 2 standard in swimming.
